Giles Microbial Digital Imaging Analysis System Biomec V3

Company Profile
Giles Scientific was founded in New York, USA in 1984 and later relocated to St. Barbara. For over 20 years since its establishment, Giles has been committed to cutting-edge color digital imaging technology research. Its Biomec V3 microbial digital imaging system, developed and produced, has served hospitals, clinics, microbiology laboratories, animal laboratories, and more in over 50 countries. The Biomec V3 system uses a variety of consumables available on the market, providing customers with an open system to avoid purchasing specialized and expensive consumables. The Biomec V3 system has reliable performance, flexible functionality, and no mobile accessories, so maintenance is not required. The annual database upgrade and seven day online technical support provide users with the most comprehensive services.
The Biomec V3 Microbial Digital Imaging Analysis System can automatically read and analyze numerous microbial testing dishes and identification cards. Its built-in Biomec V3 touch screen technology ensures easy operation and fast and accurate data reading. The top and bottom LED light sources, dark field of view, and optional UV light source of Biomec V3 ensure smooth reading of complex test dishes.
Product Introduction
Microbial Identification and Identification Card Reading System
Quickly read bacterial and yeast identification cards sold in the market, such as BBLTMCrystalTM (BD), RapID&Microbatt (Remel Oxoid), API (bioMerieux), and automatically provide analysis results. The operation process is simple and has good flexibility. Compared with manual reading of results, it eliminates reading and copying errors, greatly improves consistency, accuracy, and reading speed, and reduces training time. BIOMIC can also quickly identify bacterial and yeast colonies on various colored agar plates of different brands.

II Drug Sensitivity Analysis
The system is based on continuous gradient paper diffusion experiments and can select different drug sensitivity test plates (90mm, 120mm, 150mm) as needed. The system can directly determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) from the inhibition ring. BIOMIC provided the correct MIC for each gradient of agar and calibrated the MIC using the broth method, which is similar to the Etest method. BIOMIC has passed the US-FDA 510 (k) review and is consistent with the MIC obtained by the reference broth dilution method.
  • Readable Etest drug susceptibility testing card
  • Drug selection has high flexibility, and different drug combinations can be made according to needs.
  • Adhere to CLSI regulations to read and automatically interpret all microbial resistance experiments and quality control results, improve the consistency and accuracy of drug sensitivity experiments, and reduce descriptive errors.
  • Provide duplex interface with laboratory information management system LIS or hospital information management system HIS, and allow direct download of sample sheets from HIS/LIS for batch input.
  • Reading speed of 6 boards per minute (360 boards per hour).
  • The test results are based on CLSI (USA), BSAC (UK), as well as relevant international standards or published recommended methods from France and Germany, greatly improving the quality and reliability of the test results.
  • The expert system ensures that the results are directly applied to clinical practice.
  • The average cost of equipment maintenance for each consumable tested is the lowest; Selective reporting of test results can improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Full Chinese interface and touch screen display, easy to operate and learn.
III. Colony count
  • By using digital imaging technology, the bacterial or yeast colony count on agar plates can be automatically calculated or virus spot analysis results can be provided.
  • It can distinguish the size and color of colonies, quickly calculate the number of colonies in the entire dish or selected area of the dish, and automatically provide the colony concentration (Cfu/ml). Suitable for pouring petri dishes, spiral inoculation petri dishes, filter membranes, chromogenic agar, blood petri dishes, and any other petri dishes.
  • Adjustable and optimized counting parameters, capable of reading the most complex colony images and performing rapid counting.
  • It can save 99% of reading time and eliminate human errors or transcription errors. It can also save, print, and output petri dish images and counting results, in compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards. At the same time, the system fully complies with 21 CFR Part 11 (the world standard for electronic records) and US-FDA standards.
  • Display high-definition color petri dish images with counting tools and options. Numerous parameters can be set to achieve optimal counting results and improve accuracy. Reading speed of 6 boards per minute (360 boards per hour)
  • Can read petri dishes with a maximum diameter of 150mm. 、
  • Optional counting area, both inside and outside the selected area can be counted.
  • You can set a range of colony diameters and count the colonies within this diameter range.
  • For individual colonies, manual mode can be used for counting.
  • After counting the same batch of petri dishes, the average number of bacterial colonies in that batch can be calculated.
  • User defined print output.
  • By selecting various counting parameters such as color, each special type of petri dish can be counted and achieve the best counting effect.
  • By selecting the top or bottom (dark field or bright field) light source, the contrast of the image can be improved.

96 microporous plate reading
  • Interpretation of the 96 well plate for measuring the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the client
  • Interpretation of the drug sensitivity analysis and identification board of Sensitivity (Trek)
  • Interpretation of Microscan (Siemens) Drug Sensitivity Analysis and Identification Board

In addition, the BIOMIC V3 system can also perform quality control testing. Including drug sensitivity analysis, microbial identification, and QC testing of reagents, QC summary reports, documents for petri dishes, plates, reagents, and culture media, etc
